I've only been here for a day but I really like this place. You all seem very nice and not rude or frothing at the mouth, just looking for an excuse to belittle or insult someone, especially the new folks.

Been struggling for a while to find a place where I can talk knives/guns/gear with normal people, and it looks like I finally found a good place. Thank you all for having me, it's great to be here! I'm glad I found you.

Have you met @Bassbob yet. Don’t mention Turkish shotguns (see frothing at the mouth).

I see @KillerFord1977 is behaving himself. You can thank Pappy Van Winkle for that.

And as for normal people you might want to hold those cards close until you’ve met the Cretins, the. Curmudgeons, and Curmudgeonette.

Yeah, most of us are normal-ish, I guess, sort of, usually. You don't drive a Buick, do you?

Oh, crap. I moved up to a Buick from a Mercedes (my first car) and I thought it was nice ('64 Skylark 2-door hardtop). It was kool because it had bucket seats and the girls could only get close to me in the back seat, when Buicks had big back seats.

I guess you could say that Buick was the high point of my life.

{This is probably one of those Friday nite posts that I'm gonna have to deny making tomorrow}

this is a good group of people on this forum with a lot of knowledge on just about every firearm. i've had many questions answered here as well as had a lot of laughs. there are a lot of ongoing jokes that you'll pick up on. these include but are not limited to: buicks, hi points, chickens, chicken coups, curmudgeons, cretins, vintage razors vs 5-bladed bics, minions (that have not been seen in quite some time), the gatekeeper of spelling (who has also been absent), british guys and italian shoes, an ongoing bromance that will become painfully obvious, and a guy named @BET7 who is singlehandedly responsible for most firearm shortages worldwide.
so, grab some popcorn and welcome to the asylum.
