I can relate. It's kinda my life. In forward. There have been times when I had to point out certain truths about where my money comes from and where the majority of it gets spent in order to get her to STFU about a purchase I made.
The events of the last year have made her somewhat come around as far as sheer quantity of certain things. Ammo, handguns, etc..
I really can't complain though, as far as things go she's been pretty understanding about my needs. And for the record I've always been the same way about guitars and basses and especially tube amps. She understands my tendency to intensely focus on narrow bands of things. And in the event that she no longer understands she is aware of where the door is.

Yup. In my case... it’s 100% my money. I am not responsible for sharing all my resources with ANY grown adult, lol. If I want to spend my money on PRS guitars, Mesa amps, cars, shoes, pretty little shiny guns and freedom seeds, well that’s what I am going to do. I don’t tell him what to do with his money.
I had to tell a dude just last week ‘no you cannot take my gun to the range ... we just met fool, what kind of girl do you think I am’.

Not to spoil the fun, but, it shouldn't matter. It's still the same sight plane, just reduced 6" . Or am I wrong?
I took the joke as if the guy was using the angled length of the channel of the carry handle to see the target and not using the front sight.
