Love your signature line. That perfectly encapsulates the mindset that I'd hope everyone who carries embodies.

Thanks. I forget where I stumbled across it. But when I read it, I was like, yes, that's exactly the mentality we should have
Which "Top" of Texas? The one just south of the Oklahoma panhandle or the one just south of the Red River? Just curious. I grew up in the Texas panhandle between Amarillo and Lubbock.

Little burg called Silverton, 26 miles east of Tulia which is located on I27 almost dead center between Amarillo and Lubbock.

Ya, I'm familiar with that corner of Texas. My deceased wife's family is from that area.

Familiar with that area and turkey also. When i27 gets closed we travel across there to go to and from lubbock

LOL. Yeah. I jokingly refer to it as a place that "You can't get there from here. You have to go around to get there on purpose." Which is a partial truth. One must to travel west a few miles before you can jog north because the precursor to the Palo Duro canyon is due north of town. One must literally "go around" by traveling either west or east in order to drive further northward.
I am new to the forum, biggest question that I have is how can this forum help me? I am very familiar with weapons mainly due to military service of over 15 years and 8 months all active. Disassembly and re-assembly is nothing new to me. Barely got into purchasing a few handguns just recently and I am teaching my twin boys who are now 17 basic handgun safety and marksmanship.

Hi everybody , so I’ve carried a Glock for 20 plus years and I finally got myself a Springfield XDM elite 9 mm with match grade barrel.
A question I have is on the front of the firearm where the spring is it actually protrude a little bit in the front of the gun. Does this seem a little odd to anybody else? If it does, can anybody point me in a direction of how I can get a hold of Springfield about it?

You can give them a call. I had a previous Springfield that did that but I’m not sure if it was supposed to be like that or not.
Can someone settle this for me? I have an E. German Makarov made in 1960 and the grips are brownish-red bakelite with the Russian red star. I've seen quite a number of these with the same grips, and have read that some of the Russian grips came with them from Germany. Mostly, I read that they all had black plastic checkered grips without the thumb rest.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I purchased the Echelon 4.0c California compliant. I purchased the Icarus ACE X . After 5 hours I got the COG into the Icarus BUT I slide a 10 rd Magazine in and THEN it happened I lost all tension in the mag Release Button. Does anyone l know or can suggest to this Old Army Vet, what Magazine Release and New spring that holds the Release button in the hand Piece?

I have three from the top down East German, Russian, and Bulgarian, The grips are a toss up. I THINK the East German ones are original, maybe the Bulgarian, and definitely not on the Russian,

I'm just signing in. Viet Nam Veteran, and Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer. I'm interested in Rifles and Handguns. I hunt and fish and love Hiking with my Labrador Puppy. CZ mostly, but S&W, Ruger, Colt, Sig, and Taurus are in the collection. My Rifles are three Colt AR's, a couple AK's. SKS's and a Springfield Armory KUNA that snuck in.

Dont if you care, or how old yer bike is, but you need to get some air flow over the top of the heads.
DK Customs sells a relocation kit for the coils and Ign switch.
I also removed the plastic box around the wiring harness and taped it to the backbone.

Was there a gear up last month with the echelon? I got it 2 weeks ago but never saw the gear up?

No, the gear up program expired a few months ago, but you can still find the gear up packages that were shipped to some retailers. I believe Palmetto state still has some.
Hi Mike I designed / 3D printed a protective cover for the bottom plate on my Springfield KUNA. It turned out so well I thought other people would be interested in these too. I would print these in poly-carbonate so they they would be extremely strong. One member said there is no sales of things on this forum and that's ok.. but if you have any ideas.. I'd appreciate it..

Are you making mags for the Kuna?
A

No... not a different magazine, just a protective cover that fits over the existing end cap. Its so when you eject the mag and it falls on that end-cap, it will not damage it. It also give you more to grab onto if needed when removing the mag. Simple but effective/efficient.

Ah, nice, I was just thinking of wrapping some camo duct tape around them. Your idea sounds nicer.....
Purchased a NIB Tokarev TBP-12. When I took it to the range, I almost immediately started having cycling issues. After getting home, I tore it apart and the bolt was factory defective. I contacted SDS for warranty, and the entire process was super smooth. They sent me a new bolt, so I threw it in. Will be going to the range this weekend to test it out. Wish me luck.

I had to deal with them twice - once for their 1911 recall, another for a defect in a factory optics cut slide. Both times were painless and they did right by me. No complaints.
