That's easy, it's because revolvers don't eject the bullets, it's a technical thing, no extractor marks on the jacket..Or when CSI does a ballistic test on a recovered bullet and they say it came from a revolver.

I think Selleck packed a 1911 on the Magnum PI series. Not every episode, but when he did carry I don’t recall anything else.Keanu Reeves is a real life pistol competitor so he probably insists on some accuracy on the set. Tom Selleck is also a collector and shooter and it shows, he likes his 1911's.

He used a full sized 1911 in Magnum if I remember correctly, and a SW scandium Gunsite edition 1911 in the Jesse stone movies, my favorite set of movies.I think Selleck packed a 1911 on the Magnum PI series. Not every episode, but when he did carry I don’t recall anything else.
But I could be wrong.
Brief surprising details on Selleck's Magnum PI 1911 from NRA:He used a full sized 1911 in Magnum if I remember correctly, and a SW scandium Gunsite edition 1911 in the Jesse stone movies, my favorite set of movies.
Unfortunately they went for the silenced revolver route for the villian in I think the second movie.
I did however like the Browning BLR used by the villian in an one.
I know a lot of older movies like the Wild Bunch used 9mm Stars for 1911 stand ins because they were more reliable with the 9mm blank cartridges.
"Ammo" very likely easier to come by for them too.Q

I've watched some of Reeves' shooting videos from Taran Tactical and he's definitely worked hard at it - he looks good.Keanu Reeves is a real life pistol competitor so he probably insists on some accuracy on the set. Tom Selleck is also a collector and shooter and it shows, he likes his 1911's.
Little known fact, Tom Sellecks 1911 was a 9mm….not a .45…if you watch the opening scene it shows him slamming a mag in his pistol, 9mm mag
Nothing was mentioned about finding a case at the scene? Maybe how it was concluded it came from a revolver? What caliber was it could help! If it was Arnie or Deadpool with a 50ae you could tell which 1 did it, because DP numbered his! That's easy, it's because revolvers don't eject the bullets, it's a technical thing, no extractor marks on the jacket..

It was a joke... about that actual bullet not giving an extractor mark... because it was "ejected" from the gun.Nothing was mentioned about finding a case at the scene? It could be something said on those type shows? A "bullet" having extractor marks is a riot or ejector marks! A case, yes! A bullet, no!It was a joke... about that actual bullet not giving an extractor mark... because it was "ejected" from the gun.
Ok, lol, you are quite obviously correct of course. It could be something said on those type shows? A "bullet" having extractor marks is a riot or ejector marks! A case, yes! A bullet, no!

She was great in John Wick Parabellum.I admire Keanu Reeves' gun skills. But I have watched Halle Berry's techniques many times over and cannot find any reason to be critical...
