Bad luck again

Got my new M&P 2.0 performance center 9mm yesterday. Went to clean it today and front sight fell out. Put it back together and tried to call Smith and Wesson- they are closed until Jan. 3. Guess it will be another 2-3 weeks before I can take it to the range.. I hope the new year isn't going to be like this.

When you said "front sight fell out," was it a fiber optic sight? If so, it could be fixed pretty easy.

No it was not the fiber. it was the whole sight- just slide out and fiber is still attached.

No thanks, broken firing pins and dead trigger all within 400 rounds. A very expensive lesson learned and very smug customer service reps. All in all a lousy experience.

Well, not to make your day worse, but 0n the 28th bought a Beretta 92FS -- range on the 30th -- 50 rounds, zero defects, 100% fun.

Exactly. And for me it would be very difficult not to include a WT…. letter although that wouldn’t probably go over very well.

nmedge at least the factory shouldn't have any problem diagnosing the problem which should make for a quick turnaround. I would guess with all the problems folks report with new guns the problem you have I expect will be easy to fix. Still I know it is a disappointment.

Didn't mean to ruffle feathers. I bought a new XD Tactical. Less than 50 rnds & the front sight fell off. That's just what I did. No disrespect intended.

I am surprised they let that out anyway should be a quick fix you will be at the range in no time just think you don’t need to be around all the newbie owners at the range

It's ok, I just thought I would go and start the new year with a new gun. I have plenty to shoot so it's not a big deal. Just wish someone would pay more attention when they send a product out.
