Bumpstocks Ban Lifted

The ban on bumpstocks has been lifted by the US Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision. Bumpstocks aren't my cup of tea but for those of you that like them this is a big victory. This is also a victory for the 2nd amendment as a whole if you like bumpstocks or not.

When there is a lift of the full auto ban I'll be ecstatic.

Are far as the pistol brace rulings that I can recall, you have separate cases vacating for SAF, FPC, and GOA members, another ruling with a nationwide injunction against it and now this court ruling vacating the rule. I heard the the 5th Circuit appellant court is going to hear 5 pistol brace cases on August 5th, so we'll see how that goes. Whether the SCOTUS decides to take of the case or cases is unknown (at least I haven't heard of then taking it up)
And Yeah, getting rid of the NFA and GCA laws would be very nice (IMO)

This. I personally could not care less about “bump stocks”-I can waste plenty of ammo Without one. Pistol braces? Be honest that’s just a way of beating the whole SBRthing (which is in itself pretty silly if you think about it-why is a short rifle “more dangerous”.). That said NO agency/ official should be able to arbitrarily change the rules on their own. LAWS are supposed to come from the legislative branch-not a beaurocrats personal opinion.

There is on need for the Bump Stock. It does make the Semi-automatic AR work as though a machine gun. We can live without that. By supporting a ban on something like Bump-Stocks, it could help prevent a total ban on so called Assault rifles.

For a while you could get a "forced reset trigger". Are those still a thing? Have they also been banned? Just curious. It could come in handy on your special SHTF AR-15 in the bugout bag.

Yes Cliff, I believe these are still banned and I’m not sure if the recent bump stock ruling will have any impact on FRTs (ie: what constitutes a machine gun). Binary triggers are still legal (Fostech, Franklin Armory), which fire on one pull of trigger and fire on release of trigger (three position switch for Safe; Semi; and Binary).
But I’ve also seen people “ride the reset” on normal triggers simulating full auto firing with fast trigger pulls after timing the trigger resets.
