I've thought about 1 years ago, but didn't buy. I think they had some trouble with them early on and was fixed, but don't remember the issue. They used to be around $500 iirc? You will have to use their mount unless you get 2 individuals.

Buddy has one that I have shot with on his rifle. Nice unit. No better or worse than say a Vortex. Good choice if the deal is right

Honestly if it were a different gun I'd buy it right now. Or if I had the extra cash to burn. I mean I could come up with it, but....

I want something bombproof for this particular gun.

Yeah most likely I’m going to end up with an Aimpoint. M4 or M5 or H2. Have t made my mind up.

Its a vortex style quality
$300 ish is a good price for a mid grade RDS

I have the non CDS Freedom RDS on on one of my rifles. I have been pleased with it for my purpose. Admittedly I am a Leupold guy when it comes to my hunting optics, and I don’t have a comparison to other red dots or tactical optics, so I am sure there are better options available. It is probably in the cheaper range for a RDS, because it is in Leupold’s Freedom lineup which is their lower tier glass.
