Prodigy Red Dot Issue

Hello,
First time poster here, so go easyšŸ˜Ž
I have a 2024 Prodigy I purchased in September. I made the purchase which included the Dragonfly optic. I had the normal FTF issues, etc and got those kinks worked out. But during the time i have had the pistol I had two dragon fly replacements due to both stopped working. This last go around, i just took the refund and purchased a Burris Fast Fire as a repalcement.
Well the same issue is happening. While I am shooting the sucker suddenly cuts off just like the dragon fly. The battery was brand new toošŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø.
I sent another email to Springfield asking for some help.
Has anybody else run into this? If so, did you find a solution?
Does anybody feel that maybe the slide is slamming home too hard and causing the issue? Should i try a lighter spring? I am about at my wits end and ready to sell if I can’t correct.

Any help will be much appreciated.
TIA!

To be honest, you need to buy a better red dot. The Dragonfly is entry level at best and the Fastfire is moderately better but is not a quality optic, regardless of what the Burris fanboys are going to claim shortly. I have a Fast Fire 4 and it sits in my drawer of unloved. misfit red dots that will never find a home on any of my handguns. Your malady is pretty unusual but your solution is easy - get an RMR plate and put a Holosun 507C or Holosun Comp. That will end your issue. If you have a problem with Holosun because they are Chinese look at Trijcon, Sig, or the Mepro MPO-F or MPO-S. I run a Leupold Deltapoint Pro on mine. You spent decent money on your Prodigy, spend decent money on your optic too.

Agree with this...

i use rmr's, sro's, romeo's, dpp, venom's, swampfox, and many others and nothing from sa due to so many bad reviews and i don't use any compact rds's. i have several $200-300 rds's that hasn't failed me, but vortex's new rds i haven't tried yet as i haven't found out the window sizes.

It’s too bad the big boys making ā€œ the bestā€ optics can’t seem to make them with the options the CCP manages to. Namely green reticle and shake awake. Doughnut of death would be nice too for the transition. And for shotguns. I’d have bought 15 Trijicon dots by now if their feature set didn’t suck.

Running a DPP on my Prodigy for about 2 years now. Absolutely rock solid after thousands of rounds through.
Small tip; use a small amount of loctite between the slide and optics plate if you are using the AOS plate. The DPP never came loose on my plate, but early on I had issues with the plate coming loose from the slide.
