Prodigy Red Dot Issue

Went with your recommendation and just purchased a Leopold Delta Point. Found the mounting plate for $100 on Optics Planet
Another DPP tip. Do not buy the ridiculously expensive Leupold rear sight. Buy the polymer insight from Galloway Precision that works better and is a fraction of the price.

It’s too bad the big boys making “ the best” optics can’t seem to make them with the options the CCP manages to. Namely green reticle and shake awake. Doughnut of death would be nice too for the transition. And for shotguns. I’d have bought 15 Trijicon dots by now if their feature set didn’t suck.
I agree with you on Trijicon bro, they are so far behind on their feature set.

Spend the extra bonez on a quality RDS and shoot the pizz out of it.
Close to 4k rounds through mine with zero issues. Vortex Defender XL and A15B plate (DPP foot print).

Hello,
First time poster here, so go easy😎
I have a 2024 Prodigy I purchased in September. I made the purchase which included the Dragonfly optic. I had the normal FTF issues, etc and got those kinks worked out. But during the time i have had the pistol I had two dragon fly replacements due to both stopped working. This last go around, i just took the refund and purchased a Burris Fast Fire as a repalcement.
Well the same issue is happening. While I am shooting the sucker suddenly cuts off just like the dragon fly. The battery was brand new too🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️.
I sent another email to Springfield asking for some help.
Has anybody else run into this? If so, did you find a solution?
Does anybody feel that maybe the slide is slamming home too hard and causing the issue? Should i try a lighter spring? I am about at my wits end and ready to sell if I can’t correct.

Any help will be much appreciated.
TIA!

Welcome to the forum from Minnesota. I have Holosun 507 green dots on two of my pistols, and I have a Dragonfly on my XDM Elite, which came as a package deal. I wouldn't have installed it, but my FFL/gunsmith guy thought he was doing me a favor. I haven't had any problems with it, but it WILL be replaced one day. It's not a horrible optic, but I'd rather have a green dot.

Sold a Trijicon SRO (lack of features) bought the Holosun EPS 6moa green.

I like my Romeo’s. I am new to red dots and didn’t realize there was such a gap in many red dots. I thought the Burris with their warranty would have been a good pick.
There’s so many out there, without a lot of research or even just trial and error, things can go wrong. Ask me how I know 😂. Replaced it with a Holosun SCS-MOS that functioned flawlessly until I moved the gun on for something else.

Edit - Swampfox did replace it with a new one. It’s in a box around here somewhere.
