New Products to be announced by Smith & Wesson

Yawn....it is S&W
They're the most popular brand in America for a reason. That makes them feel pedestrian, but they really are an iconic American brand. When they make something new, the country pay's attention. Been that way since the 1800's.

Granted, they have flops (remember the Sigma?) but they also have some home runs, like the entire M&P line. It's worth watching, at least.

I’ll also take their revolvers over all others…and I’ve owned pretty much all of them.

Sure, an old-school Python is still the ne plus ultra when it comes to revolvers, but they aren’t made anymore, and the new Python doesn’t come close to the original.

And, TBH, a pre-war S&W, with all the hand fitment, comes pretty dang close.

I only want one revolver and that's a 41 mag with 3in barrel with compensator. Back in the 60 I had 2 41s,one for Sunday go to meeting and one for work. Sigh.

Well…I’ve got blued Marlins in .357, .44, and .450, so I’d take the stainless examples if the long gun.

And that .44 Hunter on the bottom might be fun.

I don’t have any S&W lever actions, but I have Henry Xs in 357, 44, 45-70 & a Big Boy Silver in 45LC (my preferred cartridge for Lever
Action), so if I was to choose a S&W lever action it would be 45LC or 45-70 if the 45 wasn’t available. As for revolvers, I already have the Performance Center Stealth Hunter 629 44 Mag (top row, right hand side revolver) & almost bought the PC Hunter 629 44 mag (bottom row , righ hand side), that a customer was handling at the LGS, and told him if he didn’t take it, I was going to buy it (he ended up taking it). But I was able to get a used Walther Q5 Match polymer that they gave me a deal on. Very good condition w/ optic included.
So the PC Hunter 629 will have to wait for another day 😢

Nothing personal…but I have carried a Sigma 40 since the 90s. Never had a problem. Carried a lot, used little, though…but never let me down!

Wished for a some time to match a 45-70 to keep a 41 company with me in the high country.
