Echelon 4.0 problem

Fossil

Alpha
I purchased a new Echelon 4.0. With standard bbl and it works fine
Then I bought a threaded barrel from SA and it won't function properly with the threaded barrel. The slide pops off when operating it. I removed it and noted several markings on the barrel making it look aged. I contacted SA about it and they just said they would replace or refund it. I would like to know what and how to fix the problem. Thanks

Sounds to me like you got the wrong barrel. The wear marks indicate severe friction, and the fact that it spontaneously field strips itself says the lug isn't integrating with the takedown pin. Clearly that barrel wasn't meant for your frame.

Thanks for all the responses. When I spoke to SA support he didn't offer any possibilities. Just asked if I wanted replacement or refund. I chose refund because the threaded barrel locked up the slide and showed significant markings on the barrel after I got it removed. I suspect/hope they get this problem resolved soon but most folks like me didn't order it with the threaded barrel. This is my all time favorite pistol so I hope I can get a proper functioning threaded barrel soon.

I tried swapping barrels with the full-size and the compact and I can confirm that the barrels are swapable and are exactly the same other than length.
