View attachment 91419 Fortunately for me, I can check beforehand with my still-functioning civil defense - issued Geiger counter! But it would be best if Walmart wouldn't go shrimping off the coast of Fukushima...

in the quest to give us lower prices, way too many stores of whatever ownership, buy products from where ever, where health standards are certainly NOT that of the states.
case in point, last December, i bought a Farberware (well known cooking pot/pan company) for decades, and it was white enamel?? painted on the outside, and inside....
about 3 weeks ago, i went to pour out the water, and put fresh water into it...
"white flakes" came out......i'm like WTF...??
so, i let it dry.....
after it dried, i put my hand inside and rubbed the inside of the pot...
WHITE powder was on my fingers..>!!!!!!!!
i showed the wife, and we threw out the tea pot....
my mistake...we only live roughly 2 miles from the RI Health Dept. bldg..
i should have taken it there for them to exam....
i am not sure where it was made, but we TRUSTED Farberware cookware for our entire lives...
that teapot was either made in Mexico, or..guess where else..?? China.
for all we know, that could have been LEAD paint they used...
we bought a stainless steel tea pot..........yes, however...Farberware.....
at least it was not "painted" inside.
and NO...we did not have proof like the sales receipt, that we bought it at walmart..
give us good ole AMERICAN MADE products again.....
at the very least, thru the higher prices, they adhere to health standards.
