So I let my dad take my MR920 War Poet (Glock-19 MOS) to replace the Smith EZ he’s been carrying, for church, which I shot at the range with him, and it’s crap. So I figured a pistol with a crusader cross was fitting for his purpose plus it’s twice the quality and much more accurate. I still have my CR920X (Glock 43X MOS but 15+1) but I’m like man, I’m really digging the idea of going back to a 1911/ Double Stack 1911 after having shot my Prodigy. Really wanting the ability for a light and optics, as well as weight. Kinda wondering about a commander size or officers depending on price. Been researching on officers model prodigy or Girsan BRAT as they now have an optics ready version that just came out. I’m open to suggestions and general discussion.

I've been looking for a custom holster, maybe a chest sling or under arm rig to carry my Kuna, with extra mags, to carry (under my colors) when attending church, but no luck! Gotta figure something out because the Q LLC AR 308 is to long for my tank bag and I hate caring the gold-plated Desert Eagle, I'd hate to scratch it if I went down.

It’s my dad that does the security thing. Respectfully I’m a god fearing man but haven’t stepped in a church in years.
Ok I thought this kind of discussion was frowned upon lol. So I grew up in church, was saved and baptized as a teen. I read daily devotionals and prayers everyday and pray every day on my way into work, coming home and before going bed. I am unchurched. My walk and relationship with the Lord God Almighty and his only begotten son is private to me. I am unchurched as I have seen lots of bickering and clicks inside the church. I have seen things in my career that most church goers have not and would not be able to understand, respectfully. I do appreciate the sentiment though

Well I know a couple people that have shot and killed bad guys with 45’s and they carry snub 22’s part of that whole snubby lifestyle.
Mission should drive the gear. When I am not working I run simple Wheelguns or 10 round and under autos as I’m not kicking in doors or any of that BS. So I leave all that active shooter response kit stuff to the on duty police
I also run a Glock 45 and HK 45 or P30L LEM sometimes too as I have ran them as duty guns but it not because I think I have to off duty normally if I am going to the range or whatever I’ll usually carry one of those to/from.
If you like shadow systems why change? Get that or a Glock of some variety

You'll have to figure out what's comfortable to carry. Double stacked 1911s may be harder to conceal but some will carry them in the winter under thicker clothing. Others carry micro compacts in the summer under their shorts an t-shirts.

Staccato C2. 3.9 in barrel. Pic rail. Optic ready, if that’s your thing. I have one and it’s a great shooter. Standard mag is 16 rds, but you can get extended mags. Holsters are easy to find and the gun conceals pretty well considering it’s a double stack. A bit more pricey than the Prodigy, but you get what you pay for.

Second this. Similar size/look to a 365, BUT is a single action concealed hammer pistol. Mine has the ambi safety so it’s easy to carry and about as “safe” as a firearm is going to be. Very nice trigger for a plastic gun, quite accurate as well.
