That is a live main and a live tee. If you zoom in you can see something sticking out of the top of it. It's called a climax plug. It's used to shut down a tee that doesn't have a threaded cutter in it.sounds like the bomb....

And to answer your next question, no I wasn't smoking when I shut it down, but I did light one up after I had the climax plug in it.
