well earlier this afternoon, i had to take out a window, wrap it in plastic and put it back in the casing again.
that window and a few others are incredibly drafty, so best to start getting the few done now.
windows here for my house, being in a historic district, are starting priced at $15,000...each....and we have 3 ornate outside casings, that'll add to that pricing.
yes, that's right...due to this being a historic district, we cannot put in any ole window brand, or type......they must conform to the historical (or hysterical) people.
and we have like.......oh....45 which is for 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor, and the few ground level basement windows......soooo
i ain't about to get a mortgage for like about $675,000.00 to replace windows...to meet the historical (hysterical) numbnutz commission.
when about $40 gets me plastic, sponge insulation pieces, and a roll of scotch tape.
