After living the mantra of "never sell, always buy," I'm finding that a few things I bought for one purpose have turned out to not get used. Instead of them sitting in the safe, they're headed to auction with Locust Fork on Gunbroker. I did quite a bit of research and they came highly rated - after running a small test sale with them I'm pleased with the service and the outcome, so I've just finished packing up six different guns and mags to head their way and make room and funds for two purchases I expect to make before the end of the year: a S&W 617 for use when Steel Challenge adds Rimfire Revolver as an irons / optics division next year, and a SIG P226 Legion of some sort (not sure which one yet), something I've always wanted.
For the record, NONE of my guns are at Locust Fork or up for sale yet - this isn't a sales post - and I won't identify which ones are mine when they do post. I find myself impressed by what they bring in, though, and they're great to work with. https://www.gunbroker.com/s/seller/Locust-Fork/
I'm looking forward to seeing them go live, then tracking them to see how they do (on Gunbroker, nothing really happens before the last 30 minutes anyway).
These things have all been up on my local for-sale site for a while and haven't sold (though I've received all the stupid offers and lots of people who want to send me a check then give their "agent" some of the cash back, but electronically of course), so off to Locust Fork they go.
