Wilson Combat Mag Question

Nope, it appears to be the mag release. I’m gonna try a different brand and see how that works. From doing a lot of reading on other forums etc. the Wilsons are awesome in .45 but can be hit or miss sometimes on the 9. But again they still make good stuff.
i cannot recall the gun i had at the time, but i'm guessing it was a Canik, TP 9...

i needed extra mags....there were NONE to be found, at the stores, or online, at that time...

someone at the range told me a SIG mag would fit, i believe it was for the P226.
so i was able to get 1.

what i had to do was modify the mag slots in the Sig magazine...

after that, the Sig mag dropped with no issues.

maybe, the Wilson mag release holes needs to be SLIGHTLY filed to make it drop easier..???

So I purchased a NIB 10 round WC mag for my 9mm Operator. It does not want to drop free after I rack the slide back. Everything is nice and oiled. It feels like is snug in the gun for some reason. The two OEM mags no issues. And if you ever experience that? Wilson makes good stuff so not knocking on them.
Have several WC 1911 45acp mags never had any problems. Four or five years ago tried Tripp Cobra 1911 mags they are as good or better than Wilson Combat. Just my 2 cents.

No such issues using Wilson Combat magazines in my Champion Operator.

I have a bucket full of Wilson Combat magazines for my 1911's. Rarely have a problem. I will not carry a new gun until firing several hundred rounds at the range. My procedure is to load all the magazines I have available and run through them in a session so all my magazines get a workout. Now and again I have to tap in or pull out a single stack magazine but that usually works itself out with use. Don't overlook the effect of the baseplate pressing against the magwell that might cause pressure and binding against the catch.

I have found Wilson Combat customer service to be very responsive.

9 mm 1911's are notoriously picky. Wilson has done a lot of work to get the mags reliable...can you verify they are the latest type mag that have received all the benefits? I bought one of every "premium" 9 mm mag that MidwayUSA carried to try. They all ran great in my 1990's era Colt 1911 9 mm.
