So Now, We Ban Jeeps

Made me look up current details.

Yes , Stellantis Capital is headquartered in Netherlands. But Stellantis North America in Toldeo seems to have pretty free hand to operate independently of the mother ship .

Licensed derivatives are made in Argentina, India , and Iran . Unlicensed copies and derivatives made buncha places ( and it's a slippery slope between derivative, and generic SUV of certain size . )

But none of those were / are inported here . Any Jeep here , was built here

today's Jeep is not yesteryears Jeep.

they are a shell of what once was.

not anymore dependable than any other mass produced vehicle, yet even more expensive than ever.

the populace made them expensive by wanting things added to them, that make the ride comfortable for those soft hands, that never see a days worth of work, or a plush ride that never leave the couch.

i see jeeps all day long, riding on lift kits, chromed out accessories, large tires, and lights galore....

yet they never see a dusty trail, or snow plow attached.

dare i ever see one at a fishing hole, or duck blind, or a deer laying over the hood.

nothing but expensive POS's.......driven by morons, that do not know, nor never knew the use of a Jeep.

doesn't really matter..they are not the same as years gone by.

just like Mack trucks...at one time, a Mack truck had all Mack running gear, engines, driveline, rear axles, etc. when you bought a MACK truck, you bought a brute...nowadays when you buy a Mack truck, you get a truck owned by a foreign company.

the "sell out" of the brand ruined the truck, and the company.

once the original founder(s) or family merge or sell out, the downfall happens, quality suffers, longevity suffers, dependability suffers, yet those that "just like the name", get raked over the coals.

all anyone has to do regarding any vehicle corporation that was sold, go back into the history and see the huge changes in quality, dependability and overall customer satisfaction.

It’s just another Mopar product that should have a special tax stamp that needs 100 hours of classroom instruction, 200 hours of actual driving, full background check, special licensing, blood type, dna samples, just to look at it.

Honestly I see these things all over here in Illinois. It seems like the snotty women that drive them around out here

My JL & JT Jeeps were awesome. Jeep can still build a capable crawler. What happens to it after it's sold ain't the fault of the Jeep, it all lands on the shoulders of the owner. I hate seeing those mall crawler Jeeps.
