You ever notice?

My favorite is watching the fast food commercials…and seeing things called the “Whopper” and the “Big Mac” now being the size of what we used to call “sliders” because they were half the size of things called the “Whopper” and “Big Mac”, yet now costing twice as much, if not more.

No doubt corporate America thinks its’ consumers are idiots…

It’s been happening for a while. The cars been getting smaller and smaller. Meals at fast food restaurants are getting smaller too. The prices keep going up too. Yes I understand making a profit keeps the doors open but it’s to the point that greed from different aspects play a factor. Tax’s, wages, utilities, and whatever else is in there drives prices up. Another factor is how much of the price is actually taxes we are paying (yes corporations pass it along in the prices)?

Here's a question for some, since prices have been going up and portion sizes - prepackaged in stores, on the plate at restaurants etc have been getting smaller, why aren't some people getting smaller? No offense to the larger set but have rarely seen so many plus sized folks and clothes in stores/online.

Just because ONE what-a-burger got smaller and cost more, doesn’t mean one can’t order 3-4 and a couple large fries to boot 😃! To go with the carton of cigarettes and case of Lone Star!

As an aside, I’m not opposed to smaller portions at restaurants (or smaller fast food meals) - they should just cost proportionally smaller as well.

Actually, their motors have gotten smaller. No V8 but starting at V8 prices.
Yeah, when I’m stuck behind one in my Porsche or Mini - which is all the time here in TX - and my entire view forward is blacked out I’m not thinking about the Turbo 4 cylinder under its hood. Or when I’ve got one behind me at night and it looks like something out of Close Encounters.
