Show off your Every Day Carry!

When I first started this firearm thing in 2017, we purchased a Ruger 9E (which we still have - it's a great shooter), but struggled to carry it regularly. I carried a Springfield XD Mod.2 9mm subcompact for years after that. Great pistol; reliable; comfortable to shoot. Last week, I made the first change to my EDC since 2018. I cannot get over how much I like our new Springfield Echelon 4.0c Comp - and even more so with the Holosun 507K X2 mounted using the Echelon's swell VIS. Behold!

The echelons are pretty nice. I bought the 4.5 comp a few weeks back and last weekend my wife wanted her own! Unfortunately my local shop was out of the comp versions but she picked the 4.5 rather than the 4.0. My wife was never really into guns until probably last year and now she loves to shoot and is gonna start carrying.

Added something new some might be interested. I just got a Japanese folder that is so thin, it should be illegal.
Ive had to cop buds search me, one found it, one did not.

Like the Black Cat Solingen knife from the 60s, which was the first knife outlawed by NYC, Cops could not find them
This is that was also.
They come in several sizes, I have the 5 inch one, they made smaller ones.
There are many fake ones out there. I know I bought one. If it has the Kanji on the blade this one does it is an original.
The blue paper steel is the bast steel and sharper than you need, except for shaving maybe.

HIGONOKAMI is the name of the knives.

Carpenter’s knife, I kept one in my tool box when I was doing cabinetry. I think it came as a bonus when I got my white steel chisels.

Yes I have. Many years ago had a 1911 with stippling on front & rear straps really liked it. Don't know why but thought stippling would be more expensive than checkering. Just e-mailed a pistol smith in North Texas for info, pricing on checkering forgot to ask about stippling.
Easy to do yourself. The one in the middle is a bullseye frame.

Bet it was scary I would not try it. Have two SA 1911's that I'd like to get checkering on the front straps need to research pistol smiths for prices.
Not sure if SA still offerering this work, but they sent me this price list in 2021(or 2023). Checkering listed bottom of first page.

Not sure if SA is still offering custom work but when I inquired about front strap checkering in 2021 they sent me this price list. See bottom of page 1. Would be worth a phone call for sure.

I may get my FFL and start doing some checkering when I retire in a couple years it's not too hard to do it's tough on my hands though a lifetime of electrical work has taken a toll!
