Does anyone have experience with cmmg banshee I just acquired my first one chambered in 45 acp watched a ton of YouTube reviews and they all had aftermarket magazines from smg and other manufacturers and they don't function past one shot on mind company only has email customer support and say only oem glock mags will run reliably but in my experience the aftermarket smg magazines didn't run at all when I seen multiple videos of people running them flawlessly does anyone on here have a similar experience I think this is crazy for a $1700 AR pistol that is sorta semi custom maybe I crazy but I have firearms that cost a third of this one that run any aftermarket mags some manufacturers better than others but atleast they run

I have pistols that run the smg mags just fine and a couple that dont. Have one that dont run the glock mags well but does the smg.
So is it hit or miss mine is the new version in house upper without the bolt assist and the 13 rd gen 4 mags work with range ammo so far haven't tried defense ammo almost afraid but I couldn't get 2 rounds t I run consistently with the smg 26 rd happy sticks

Promag IS the only company I've had issues with in EVERY firearm. KCI and SMG haven't failed me yet in glock compatibility firearms. The only so far cmmg build i have are 5.7 and 9mm that use ar converted mags. I've been wanting to get the 10mm and maybe the 45acp, but haven't purchased as of yet.

Promag issues have been from broken feedlips to broken followers to split mags with none being used in a abusive way.

So, it was a complete firearm from cmmg and not an upper only? From the price you posted it seems to be a complete cmmg build (factory). Either buy 1 glock mag or borrow 1 from a friend to test.

Does it not pick up the next round or have some other malfunction?

Also, what recoil system and barrel length does it have

I actually have 2 CMMG Banshees.
The 8" MK9 9mm with Colt SMG mag well (lower receiver) as well as the 8" MK10 10mm with the Glock mag well (lower receiver). Both Radical Delayed Blow back with the MK10 also coming with an additional buffer weight.
For my MK9, I bought several Duramag SMG patterned mags from GunMagWarehouse, and all ran fine along with the mag that CMMG sent with the MK9.
For my MK10, I bought a bunch of the Glock 30+ stick mags, and the gun ran fine with the buffer weight that came installed with the gun with all the Glock mags I had. I suppose the additional buffer weight was for suppressing the MK10 if issues arose.

That's crazy both my smg mags were bought brand new from gunman warehouse 26rd glock pattern neither of them ran and my cmmg banshee mkg 45acp pistol is radial blowback also 😳 🤔

They seat , they chamber first round but failed to feed second one every time
Sounds like your bolt may not be accelerating enough to the rear after firing. Not fully pushing the bolt to the rear. I would eliminate ammo as the culprit first, then determine if your action needs to be tuned with weights for the ammo you are using. I would first try some hotter ammo to see if that clears up the problem. That's all I got.

Was using bulk 230 grain range ammo but you might 🤔 be on to something a few people told me the same thing first gonna try some defense ammo before I mess with it thanks

I had something similar happen with my PTRs (9CT and 9KT MP5 clones) with their KCI mags. I had all six (3 came with each) loaded fully, and after the first shot which was fine, it wouldn't pick up the next round. When I would lift the gun, the mag would fall out. This happened with all 6 mags on both guns. Well the range trip was ruined so I came back another day, and tried both with HK SP5 mags (I have both the HK SP5 and SP5K that each came with 3 HK SP5 mags). All 6 mags fully loaded and each gun fired flawlessly until mags were empty. I read several forums that some had stated that KCI mags would just drop out while firing the PTRs. It was thought to be attributed to the mag catch not fully holding the KCI mags in. The KCI mags were plastic while the HK were metal, not sure if this was part of the reason one worked while the other didn't. If ammo selection doesn't help rectify the issue maybe other brand mags might work (The Duramags are metal)
I got an addition 2 Metalform SMG mags when I recently bought the Springfield Armory 5" and 8" pistols that came with one each (haven't yet fired them and hope there are no issues with them).
In any case good luck, and I hope you're able to get the CMMG to run as it should.
