good day at the range

Hi,

Thanks Cliff. Haven't been dry firing with Mantis really need too will probably show why I'm shooting low, left. Health and weather permitting will try more trips to the range. The 80 mile round trip is a pain.

I'll bet if I used my MantisX more often I would shoot less low/left. In conjunction with my G-Sight laser cartridge, it will let me know how much my trigger press upsets muzzle position and I can see the results.

Thank you for your indulgence,

well i think its a "no brainer" that the Hellcat will no longer be my ccw, and will be either sold or traded in as soon as the G-19's Alien Gear holster arrives, and i set it up. .

here is a pic of the target back in Feb of this year....like i had a shotgun instead of a Hellcat handgun

now, 3 pics of my new G-19,

first target, was the first time the gun was shot, this one with 50 rounds of 115 gr, my reloads

now the 2nd target...115 gr Federal

and the 3rd, with only 10 rounds of federal HST's.....

the G-19's grip gave me much more purchase to control the recoil, and get back on sight

oh and here is an old pic of one of my Beretta's, making me wonder why now, i am having an issue shooting both of them....

Looks like the G19 is a keeper all right. I haven't shot my Hellcat in a while, but it always looks like a shotgun blast too. I still want to tweak it up some, but in the meantime I am carrying VP9SK or Reflex until I have broken in the CC9. I'm glad you got good results with your G19!

Compacts are so much harder to master than carry/medium or full size handguns. Inherently way more practice time. A compact will really show flaws in shooters technique quickly.

i think at the very least, one of my flaws is that i simply cannot get a good grip/purchase on the dang thing.

i bought that during the pandemic, when i really wanted a P-365, but try and find one back then...

as it is, even with the "pinky extension" on the magazine, i pretty much only had 2 fingers gripping it, as the pinky extension is quite useless.

also, do not forget, here we have the 10 round mag limits.

when i was able to have the 13 round mags, THAT gave me more gripping power.

and the Hellcat is a "micro-compact"...smaller than a "compact" as you mentioned.

i will be as i said, getting rid of it, i wish not to keep it any longer over the G-19.

Nice job!

I do carry compact versions of 4 different tools. The only odd ball one I rarely use is the HCP. To me the HCP is a little too thin for me because of my hands. I’ll even admit the G23.5 is almost to small but works.

Went to the range yesterday afternoon. It was sunny and warm enough to not need a jacket. Got the RDS on my Echelon dialed in better. I already had the elevation, just needed the windage (it was hitting an inch left of my point of aim). I had it nailed by the time I'd finished off my first 17-rd mag, took a 2nd identical mag and chewed up the x-ring. With no x-ring left, I proceeded to take a couple more (20rd) mags & dump them. After shooting 10MM, 9mm seems so ...tiny... and weak. All together, I shot about 120-130 rounds. Next time, I'll make a day of it...

Welcome to the world of 10MM. Practice makes perfect and I’ll let tell you after a while 9MM will feel totally different.

took the G-19 out one more time, and another 50 rounds thru it...i messed up with the first few rounds, but after that.....to me, perfecto

oh, it's a keeper for my new ccw gun...holster is "supposed" to be here today as well...

now to clean it and lube it again.........

Glock G19 🥱 😂😂. You should try a G23.5 or an M&P M2.0 (10MM I heard is fun to carry).
