Indoor Gun Range Fees

I am new to shooting indoors, anyway real soon. In your all's areas what is the cost for shooting on the range per person??? For ladies night its $30.00 but for members of said gun range $45.00 and non members $75.00, is this average in your areas too, or is this high in comparison??? Please advise....

Our areas , are not.your area . If that range is 5 minutes from your home or office ,.you have to decide how much round trip driving time , or lack thereof , is worth to you .

Initial response is that's expensive . But if you're talking Manhatten ( NYC ) , you're just overjoyed that it exists , and open to public .

For ( commercial ranges , open to public for fee ) in typical metropolatian -ish areas , typical rates would be about half that .

Club - Clubs ( not for profit , mutuial association , elected officers , etc ) can run the full gamut . Some of the rural legacy Clubs mentioned above round off to free . Others involve years on waiting list for an opening , and $$ to $$$ for dues , initiation fees , etc .

Convenience and cost have always determined my range usage and memberships. Prices vary widely. If you plan to go often enough, a membership is probably worthwhile. I pay $39/mo for unlimited range time at two indoor (sister) facilities that are 6 and 8 miles from me, 50% discounts on most services, 20% discount on all classes, etc. Lucky for me, because I've been a member for so long, I get free rentals too, but I have to buy their ammo to shoot through their rentals. If you just walk in off the street, range time is $25/hr and rentals are $20/hr.

There's an outdoor range not too far (45 minutes) that I've been to a couple of times. It's $20/hr or $35 for all day, basic membership is $465/year for all you can eat. They have 25-300 yards, pistol, rifle, archery, skeet, clay, all kinds of fun.

I hope you can find something that fits.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Both indoor ranges we have keep raising their hourly rates, one is $20 and the other is $28. Both offer memberships which I had at one time at the $28 range, but quit during the ccp plannedemic and they went falsi crazy with "safeguards". They both have expensive improved electronic target systems which have to be paid for. :sneaky:
not only the new and improved gizmo's in the range..

but..

1) payroll......minimum wage here is now at $15.00 per hour, and some places pay just that, (the one i go to), some pay more per hours.

2) electric bill

3) heating bill

4) taxes

5) state, town, or city fee's for the yearly permit(s)

everything, every place raises the prices, it sucks, and we as consumers wanna go.....??? we gotta pay

Wow, Y'all really make me appreciate my local club.
Time to renew
I pay $60 a year. I have a key card to come and go as I please, between 8AM and 10PM.
We bring our own ammo and the club supplies the targets.
It's $3 if you want to shoot, but it's unlimited for that day. You can even go shoot in the morning, leave, come back and shoot some more.

Or, for $150/year, you can shoot unlimited all year with no fee for the day.
I just don't go enough to make that worth it
Well I just found out that the gun club I was looking at has a deal where non-member 20.00 each session, or member 30.00 a month unlimited or 330.00 for the year. I know its not as good as yours but it is better than I expected... The 330.00 equates to 27.50 a month so go twice a month and its paid for itself...

Now, I probably should say that the one I go to is indoor only. 6 lane range.
Limited to 1500 fps.

So it is cheap, but, it's not an outdoors club with many other benefits

My indoor range when I went, don’t go anymore due to an a-hole RO, I go now back to my outdoor club, I get free membership due to 30 years as a member and retired, but it’s $100.00 a year for 2 handgun and 1 rifle range, skeet/trap range, lake, camping grounds, private, no set times, go anytime, any day.
