Glock: When The Bough Doth Break, The Cradle Will Fall

Love them or hate them, it looks like Glock made a pragmatic decision they believe is in their best long term financial interest.

From what I understand, they consider their primary customer base to be LE and military contracts. If that's true, they really don't give a rip about civilians in the USA except for the fact they will gladly take your money.

Their first interest is Glock and their bottom line. If they truly thought the civilian market in the US was their bread and butter they would have moved in a different direction.

Foreign concerns don't share many of the values we Americans have. As hard as it may be to comprehend, some companies don't have a problem manufacturing a product YOU shouldn't be allowed access to provided they can sell enough to "approved" entities to stay solvent.
