Only time Glock will do anything. All the manufacturers have had their issues. Remington fought back but had to file for bankruptcy because it got expensive. I could go on and on.

Love them or hate them, it looks like Glock made a pragmatic decision they believe is in their best long term financial interest.

From what I understand, they consider their primary customer base to be LE and military contracts. If that's true, they really don't give a rip about civilians in the USA except for the fact they will gladly take your money.

Their first interest is Glock and their bottom line. If they truly thought the civilian market in the US was their bread and butter they would have moved in a different direction.

Foreign concerns don't share many of the values we Americans have. As hard as it may be to comprehend, some companies don't have a problem manufacturing a product YOU shouldn't be allowed access to provided they can sell enough to "approved" entities to stay solvent.

I have a few glocks. Mostly gen 3 and 4. Never really been all that impressed with them. Certainly a lot of better choices now. I get the appeal of LE. Simple cheap effective. After this latest episode with California Glock will probably not be getting any more of my money.

Honestly I spent to much for Glock and their forum. I do agree there’s competition out there to choose from.

I don't like Glocks. I've never owned one and probably never will. However, I hate to see any gun maker targeted by the antis. Even worse, I hate to see a gun maker give in to them.
Glock has made their bed and now must lie in it. I think they'll come through this just fine. There are just too many true Glockophiles out there. Yeah, they'll bitch and moan. But in the end they'll just go out and buy the new ones.

BTW: I've heard that the new V series will take the illegal switch. But does it actually work in these new guns? I haven't heard if it does. Anybody know?

I won't be buying any of the V models mainly cause i have a few and they don't look any different from mine. now the gun shop has a Hy Point with dolla bills printed on it i be droolin over.

Well the Gen 6 has been floating around on some reputable FB sites and several industry insiders report the Gen 6 could be rolled out as soon as next week

Gkicks are good, companies do what they do couple folks that didn’t like them say they are mad or Glocl bent or whatever and won’t buy any (they weren’t going to anyway)

Obviously they don’t work for all the agencies that mandate or issue Glocks not to mention Military Federal Gov contracts and the rest of the world.

Glock will be just fine, most don’t care and those that do don’t matter to Glock
