i saw a young man on the tv news, this morning..?? he has been a resident in your state for a long time, and he said he ain't never seen it this cold down there before....

i dunno....."global warming"....??

it should be about 90 degrees in winter, and maybe about 150 degrees in the summer.

otherwise, these moronic politicians need to stop pushing that "green earth" bullsh!t

I've seen it a lot colder here, just sick of the cloudy gray days.
 
I am in a liberal college town. So Climate Change is a religion for these people, because everyone has a God sized hole in them and they have to fill it. Some do drugs, some drink, some liberals turn to the Party Line to replace Religion proper. They should just go to Church and would get everything in perspective. So anyway, I am surrounded by these people at cocktail parties and fund raisers. When I have finally had enough, I loudly proclaim "Well, can we all agree that Obama knows more about Climate Change than I do? He has seen all the reports and knows the truth about Global Warming. Can we all agree on that?". So of course they take the bait. They have to, I am talking about their Messiah. So after agreement all around I even louder ask "So if he is the smartest guy in the room, always, and he knows the truth about Global Warming, why did he buy oceanfront property on Martha's Vineyard AND in Hawaii? If what you are telling me is true, his premium properties will be under water. You think he is stupid enough to do that?". Gets them every time! They waffle and stammer, but they can't answer because it is only a power grab designed to control people. Stop worshiping the Liberal Agenda and get to Church. You will be happier. Life is full of joy, but not for Liberals. Poor idiots.

Thanks Powerboatr. $3.99 a pound for cheapest full packer at our HEB Super store. Top of the line Prime 1 goes for $8.99. Mine started out at 17lbs after much trimming was around 15lbs. The cook took 18 plus hours. With the new pelletgrill put it on at 9:00PM went to bed and started back on it 9:00AM.

mrs boatr is searching the HEB ad now, they opened one up in rockwall thats a mere 62 miles
otherwise its off the shreveport to the commissary this week, thats a LONG LONG trip

we had a group near us that you buy a whole, half or qtr beef critter
then when its ready to be harvested the butcher you select comes and does the deed
but even at half a cow, i needed another freezer
i could never eat that much
great deal at the time, now they are no longer, got bought up
we used to have at least a dozen feed lots around us, now they are all for sale and empty
not sure why or whose is to blame

This is the second one this year so far. Yep it serious but I have had a hell of a run and my heart doctor says I keep beating the odds. I am back doing my work outs which are run a hour and a half or longer at least 5 days a week. First attack was 2002 which kept me in intensive care 3 weeks then transcare for 3 weeks. That's what put me out of law enforcement but after a year and a have I was ask if I would be ok working as a training officer for security teams which I did until I had to get to cooler temps. 5 stents and a quad. Now I am sole caretaker of my wife,she was put on oxygen 24/7 at 8 liters per hour and that's been almost 10 yrs now. So now I'm house keeper,cook, chauffeur and body guard. We are both disabled now and considered soft targets. But we are hanging around as we have been together for 33 years now so you might say every day is a crap shoot like my doc says.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you are taking care of things and hanging in there. You're a tough old bird, I'll give you that. I'm glad you're able to take care of the Mrs. It certainly seems like God is not done with you here yet. Life is good, and the next one will be perfect.
