Barrel law?

This is newsome we're talking about. He'll just make up some BS to make himself look good. It'll have nothing to do with his new barrel tax.

Coming from the great state of Illinois that has Chicago. I understand more than you think. Ask any other from this state on how they feel with Rolly Polly buffet line.

Hi,

When I lived there we would pay a $1 fee for an "eligibility" check just to buy a few boxes of ammo. The sales clerk actually called it a background check. Has that fee also gone up to $5? I wouldn't be surprised. Plus, any online order has to be shipped to an FFL to complete the transfer. Phooey.

Thank you for your indulgence,

The other day someone asked Gov. Prickster how he made $~1.5 Million playing cards in Vegas recently.

He just smirked and said he got lucky.

I'm sure something more was involved.

SHhhh We don't have to do that anymore. We got a card when i passed the background check and they check my address (as if someone from Texas would come to California to pay 20% in already inflated prices).

We just pay an extra 11% firearm tax instead.

I have an out of state relative that buys enough ammmo for us to use. They don't have sales tax there either. Which means it's about 20% less taxes than in the Grate State of California.

I always seem to forget to leave his ammo at his house. I forget to take it back to him, too. So we have to buy more every time i go up there.

Hi,

I forgot about the 11% tax. That was implemented after I left. I still have my CA Firearms Safety Certificate around here somewhere. Is that still a thing?

Yep. It's still a thing. I don't buy much ammo in California, but i had to show them the certificate when i did buy it. Hell, i don't shoot alot of ammo here anyways. I don't like indoor ranges very much, and i have tons of 9mm and 5.56 if i do need it. I end up leaving it in quarries out of state.

Feels like just another cash grab, since don't they already require a background check for the gun purchase itself?

It's not about the money , not at $5 .

In their minds , they are making important steps to prevent ( privately made firearms ) . Barells are somewhat of a chokepoint , as they can't be 3D printed , or easily made at home , or a basic machine shop .
