Just wanted to introduce myself here. Name's Dave and I live on the outskirts of that cageless zoo known as Atlanta Ga. I'm primarily a 1911 fan but have come to appreciate the value and reliability of my wife's and my XDs. I don't post much on the boards these days but I do have a few S/A questions forthcoming and figured this would be the best place to ask.

Greetings from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest and welcome to the forum. I now have three 1911s, two of them are Springfield. But for my EDC they are my favorites. I also enjoy all my XD variants. I'm kind of a fan boy. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. Between my wife and I we currently own several 1911s and two XDs, plus a few others. The XDs have really been a surprise as to how well they function, especially for the price. My next planned purchase is an XD Elite 10mm, which I have a few questions about. I'll post those later.

BTW, my favorite of all my guns is my Ronin 10. It took a little tuning to get it where I wanted it to be for the loads I prefer but the effort was well worth it.
