My light can't handle the kick

what's up Springfield family so IEDC a XDM Elite 10 mil 4.5 and I run a holosun PID Plus light on it problem is no matter what I seem to do it always goes flying off. I torqued it down and even put loctite on it this last time and it's still flew off other problem is my only two holsters are light bearing holsters who will not work without my light any ideas on what I can do? just starting to get irritating thank you in advance semper fi

The light is the retention point in the holsters. Without the light to grab hold of, your gun will flop around. You need a non light bearing holster or get a different light and a holster made for it.

I have no opinion on the light itself.
yeah brother I'm aware of all of that. I guess my question was has anybody ever dealt with this before I did extensive research before I bought the light and everywhere I read said that it can handle the recoil so I don't know if it's user error or something I'm doing wrong I do have one IWB non-light bearing holster but my range holster and my other IWB are both light bearing. thank you for your response

That seems like a pretty good light with an adequate attachment system.

It looks like it even has a little bar to fit in between the pic rails. Is anything worn? Have you tried contacting Holosun customer service to see if they have any suggestions? I know the 10mm can kick a bit but it shouldn't be tossing your light. Odd. Good luck, sir.

Thank you for your indulgence,

My M&P M2.0 10mil thrown off a light and sheered screws for an optic. The streamlight I have now hasn’t flown of but the screws do start walking. The optic screws have started to walk to so I went back to just using irons.

Have you reached out to Holosun with your problem? Mounting a pistol light on a pic rail can be tricky. If you have not done this already, try loosening the mounting screw as far as it will go so it will seat all the way on the rail. When mating the light to gun, place the fixed side of your light first before tightening the clamp screw. You also should have a recoil lug on the light that fits into a channel of the pic rail on the gun. I believe that light has adapters so you can position the light fore and aft as you want it. Everything on the light should fit tightly into the pic rail with no gap before you tighten it down on the gun. That's all I have, good luck with it

it does and for some reason I had the adapter plate backwards so it wasn't engaging in the slot. so I fixed it and I'll take it out later this week to try again. I will keep y'all posted thank you for your responses

yeah I think I had that in backwards so it wasn't engaging in between where it was supposed to be. I believe I have fixed it now.
