Poor Snowball. I hope it all turns out ok for him.

His fever is back up and no surgery until it's back down. He purrs like nothing is wrong (it was the happy purr and not the other kind). He was purring so hard the table was vibrating. Getting some lov'n before they took him back. Fir a cat that's 3 and not neutered he doesn't spray which is nice for indoor cats. He has always been content/placid for a tomcat. Something about the white males as the females are NOT like that! He survived the fire from 2 years ago and will survive this!

Took granddaughter to school, then came home and installed new battery in my AED. Part of my essential range first aid kit, but I'll be 75 next month and I have asked my daughter to teach Mrs Greener how to use it. Just in case. Lunch then back to the shop.

Very sad he has to go through surgery, hope his fever comes down and the surgery is successful

Purchased a blade lock yesterday to help remove lawnmower blade. Used it today and it's a lot safer than a 2x4! Had the old one removed and new one installed in under 2 minutes. Should have purchased one years ago.

There's a young female cat that both left feet are in the same ir worse way than his. We can't catch her, but looks like 1 foot is severed snd hanging on by some skin. She has been this way for maybe 2 weeks and somehow climbs trees. She eats and drinks still and seems perky. Not sure what these cats are getting into or doing fir this to happen? A vet that used to work for my parents 40 years ago lives in this area, but doesn't do small animals.

Maybe they are getting into traps?

I was thinking the same thing. Is anybody there trapping rats, moles, gophers. I would ask the neighbors. Maybe a sick person is setting out traps to catch stray cats.

Woke up exactly at 3am, it's a curse. Had a cup of coffee and put out the husky food. Going to be another warm beautiful day but it will be windy. The ammo I ordered showed up late last night from UPS. Nothing really planned for today. Maggie and I will just hang out and do a few walks if my back and leg hold out.

Up and caffeinated, dogs fed. Yesterday got hinges fitted on 10 cabinet doors. Wasps are hatching all over. I need to go kill a yellowjacket nest outside the shop before sunrise. Mrs Greener and I are going for a delayed Valentine's lunch at a nice restaurant on Pensacola Beach. It is shaping up to be a nice day.

got up late, at 4:30, the alarm actually woke me....that almost never happens......i reset that alarm clock for 5....but got out of bed at 4:45...

was wanting to go to my gun club with 1 of my 9mm's.....but it was like 12 degree's out, and i said screw it...

so here i am...i ain't going nowhere's most of the day.

Getting up to take the kid home. Gotta be there by 7:30 (15-20 minute drive ). No waiting on coffee, so that saves time. Back in 2 weeks for his stitches to be removed.

Finished the morning walks with Maggie and just completed flushing out the water heater. It gets done every 6 months.

He did well and as soon as he got inside the house he RAN to his food bowl. Had to take the collar/cone off so he could eat better then put it back on to keep him from biting at the stitches. He is VERY happy to be home again!
