Every time I hear one go off it brings back horrible memoriesone rifle I just do not like. never took to the AK's of the world. not my jam. I can see it's importance, appeal and get it done rifle, but I hate the damn things.
I’ve fired true AKM and Ak-47s. Full auto versions as well.I was of the same line of thought, until I fired a quality version.
I've owned better than a half dozen, my two current are are a Yugo NPAP, and an Arsenal SLR.
Both are dead reliable, and scary accurate
