When I attended 1911 armorer course it was recommended that you replace coil wire springs at 5000 rounds, but I like to replace them at about 3000. Flat wire springs should go 10,000 or more. I don't recall any difference in replacement cycle with alloy frames, but DO use grease on the rails.Coil spring or flat wire spring?
Coil typeCoil spring or flat wire spring?
I never use grease on 1911’s, but from factory, looked like lithium grease was on it, i know you should changed them at least 5000 rounds, but just ain’t sure on aluminum framesWhen I attended 1911 armorer course it was recommended that you replace coil wire springs at 5000 rounds, but I like to replace them at about 3000. Didn't search real hard but couldn't find anyone local to help me out. Small brain aside, did some trouble shooting myself and think the a/v receiver is kaput. Hated too but Best Buy is the only store to get home theatre gear without ordering online. Got the new receive started replacing the old one a few minutes ago. Needed to take a break wife has yelled at me for cussing. Sipping on a large glass of sweet tea will get back to work shortly. The above problem was frustrating, to say the least. Best Buy Geek squad was supposed to be at my home at 2:40PM today to trouble-shoot repair my home theatre system. Got an e-mail a few minutes ago advising me they longer provide in home service. Spent about eight grand for all the components plus installation from Best Buy. Spoke to the store manager who said she was very sorry for my problem but I would have to find a local company to help me. To say I'm pi**** off is a huge understatement.
Have you not seen him?Ya know, ya keep watchin' them kinda movies and yer eyes are gonna go funny on ya!![]()
