What are you doing right now??

I woke up feeling "off" today. It was early so I went back to sleep and slept too long, or so my body tells me. Found out that my uncle in Canada passed away. He was in the last stages of cancer and had no quality of life any more, so it wasn't unexpected. I had planned to go out to the little lake close to my town, but I decided to hang out at the homestead instead. The world has been feeling tilted somewhat these last several days, so I'm keeping to myself today. I did sit out on the deck for a while, and if the wind will die down I may even have a fire this evening. The husband is out of town until next Thursday, so I must entertain myself... and that can be dangerous 😎.
Sorry for your loss. Sometimes it's for the best though.

Hi,

I got accused of being a racist yesterday, i said well yeah. i was at harbor freight and two black guys was ahead of me with small purchases, the lady gave them a free moving blanket without asking anything. so i get up there and she rang up my stuff and said you qualify for a free blanket with 100 dollar purchase, do you want one or not.

it was on like Donkey Kong. i said those men in front of me didn't have a 100 dollar purchase and you didn't even ask them, just gave it to them, so why hell you ask me if i want one, she called me racist. just give it to me like you did them or am i a white supremacist and before you ask damn right i am now give me my freakin blanket and let me get the hell ouuta here you blue haired fruitball. she called me a racist, i said damn right and remember my face cause i may be back here one day..

I almost hate to point this out. The clerk was actually being racist. She gave away the promotional item for no other reason but for the color of their skin. That's the very definition of racism. Some people don't get it.

Peace and comfort upon you and your family. You remind me, I have an aunt who lives about 5 hours away. I need to reconnect with her, the last of my Dad's siblings. She's getting up there in age and I'd love to talk family history before she passes.

I hope your week goes well, and the wind dies down.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Sorry for you loss, ain’t easy as we get older when we lose someone

Well, the deck is covered in soil from South Dakota, but I sat out there this afternoon anyway. Had a couple of visitors who hung around momentarily (a couple of wrens). Not a cloud in the sky but the wind was coolish so I did not feel the sunburn I was getting. 😬
The wind has gone down a bit but my feet are cold and I’m too lazy right now to start a fire. Therefore, I’ve decided to munch on some peanut butter pretzels and watch On Patrol Live. I’m also enjoying the company of my Emotional Support Demon. It’s a mighty tasty and refreshing IPA…quite grapefruitty 😎🥰.

Just finished loading a bunch of 38 special for testing tomorrow. I have the 1911 I built ready for testing and my 586 I opened up the cylinder throats so going to test that too.
I am way more excited about the 1911 tbh hoping it's bullseye capable for centerfire matches.

She certainly was. As well as patronizing those two men, which actually being demeaning to them.
