At what point?

I have read all the replies, and maybe because I live in Texas, and the defense of others is allowed, I might not turn my back on those that need help. If I am with my wife, I make sure she is away from danger first. In all of those scenarios, just by yelling anything to the aggressor will probably put the focus on you, and now you have a self defense situation.
I think in all of those scenarios, I would have a very hard time finding that one was severely injured, or killed.
Having spent my entire adult life in either the military or public safety, I think turning my back is not in my DNA.
We all would have to make a choice, and live with the aftermath in any case.

the defense of others is allowed
Pretty sure its allowed everywhere but Im sure Texas makes it easier to claim

YES this exactly

I might not turn my back on those that need help.
Agreed I had always thought THAT was basic human nature

and live with the aftermath
THAT my friend is surely correct; but Im learning that for some folks it doesnt seem to matter.

Before you decide to get involved remind yourself of that old saying: No good deed goes unpunished!
Yep Ive heard that said before. OTOH there are repercussions for failing to act as well in everything we do.

Best

Same if i seen some pedo trying to abduct a kid
The question then becomes, how do you know it's not some father controlling and taking back home his screaming, spoiled lil brat that he has finally had enough of dealing with that crap in public?

I start off with if it ain't me or mine, I'm minding my own business. HOWEVER, as Grayfox said "Depends entirely on the situation and my mood at the time."
“All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing” Edmund Burke.
Sadly, I offer Daniel Penny as a counter argument. Taking care of mine also includes being around to support them, not locked up in a jail for months or put myself in debt for hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend myself from a corrupt system.

Good questions and you will have to answer them on the spot. How do you know?
So in the words of Steven Spielberg "Choose Wisely"

I would suggest that Daniel Penny and the store owner who killed the guy who attacked him were the product of NEW YORK and that their fate would not have been the same in a FREE STATE. Perhaps if fearing their fate is enough to make someone freeze in the face of evil, then maybe fleeing the oppression of the Left is the better option

Now I cant say for sure but Im beginning to think some folks here suffer from PDS
I hope I don't have any syndrome regarding you. But I do believe you may suffer from a condition similar to Joe Biden. He liked to tell tall tales quite often. I wonder if one of his Corn Pop encounters would fit into one of your vast scenarios?

And again with just telling people to just move. It's so easy. Perhaps you could tell us where to move to? Because you surely must live in a second amendment utopia. What city and state do you live in?

Im NOT telling people to move, THATs up to them. What I AM saying is that life under the repression of a place like NY, Ca, etc, can effect you aaand your decisions, especially if you are afraid to act.

You always seem so angry. I hope you arent like that all the time, it cant be good for your health. Have you ever spoken to someone about it?

This is supposed to be a place of fellowship, at least I hope so. A place where we can discuss topics and maybe disagree; but hopefully learn from our disagreements. You have seemed to target everything I say. If you have articulatable opposing points, Im always willing to discuss them; but do we really need to do the name calling. That hardly validates any of your points

I've said before on other posts in other threads it's about how you come off to people. If you can't recognize that your attitude and the way you interact with others is an issue, then I can't help you.

Well I certainly appreciate your thoughts; but as Ive been trying to suggest your presentation isnt the most friendly. So perhaps you could look to your own house.

I do wish you the best
