When I was a kid, S&H Green stamps along with Quality stamps were a big thing. Not just grocery stores, but a lot of gas stations gave them out as well.
When we had enough, we'd sit around the kitchen table with damp sponges for hours filling a bunch of books. Once I started driving, I was the one sent to the stamp store to pick up whatever Mom wanted.
