A giant banana recently got pulled over in Montana, and as the Cowboy State Daily put it, it wasn’t its first time.

The famous 23-foot "Big Banana Car" made headlines in Montana when it was pulled over by the Montana Highway Patrol on Interstate 90 near Billings. Built on a 1993 Ford F-150, the bright yellow, fiberglass fruit features a vanity plate that reads "SPLIT".

According to the Montana State Police, the giant banana car and its driver, Steve Braithwaite, were pulled over near Billings because part of the license plate was blocked by a container on a trailer hitch carrier. He did not receive a ticket.

It took Braithwaite and his friends about 2.5 years to build the vehicle, which is crafted from fiberglass and built atop the chassis of a 1993 Ford F-150.

Braithwaite travels full-time by "couchsurfing" and frequently gives joyrides in the Big Banana Car to his hosts and the public to spread "whimsy"

Does it have the "no slip" differential?
