This is awesome. So now in PA 18-20 year old's can get carry permits. And PA doesn't have any crazy requirements to get a permit. $20 and an application. I still want constitutional carry and I think permits are a from of facism, but, it is a step in the right direction for rights of PA Citizens.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — June 30, 2026 — The U.S. Supreme Court handed the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) a victory today by declining to hear a case brought by the organization to vindicate the firearm carry rights of young adults in Pennsylvania. By refusing to take the case, SAF’s victory in Third Circuit Court of Appeals is now final.

The Third Circuit twice ruled in SAF’s favor, finding that adults under 21 are indeed members of “the People” as contemplated by the Second Amendment, and therefore enjoy the same scope of rights as all other adults. The ruling struck down a portion of Pennsylvania’s carry regime which prevented young adults from being able to carry firearms during declared states of emergency.

Hmmmmm? 18 is old enuf to go to war; but thats after basic and with adult supervision.

Ive seen far too many 18 year olds that give me pause. Hell Im not even sure they should be allowed to vote, without some sort of citizenship test

18 or 21. Pick an age of adulthood. A young man or woman can enter the military service at 18, but can't buy or carry a gun to defend themselves, or be employed by the police department, but they can vote or go to war.....

Makes no sense to me at all.

Guys this isnt about owning a gun, Its about carrying the gun CONCEALED.

Its about being able to make critical decisions in stressful situations, IDK? Admittedly I know plenty of 21 year olds that have made questionable decisions.

The brain hasnt finished forming at that age. Look at how many junior gang bangers there are running around.

or be employed by the police department
Plenty of PDs hire 18 year olds as cadets to see how they preform it what is likely their first real job. NO they dont give them gun or sent them out of call; but they learn the workings of PD admin. They can do school crossing details etc. Many/Most have a head start when they do graduate from the academy because they "know" stuff

You know that answer before you even asked it
Yeah brother this is just another issue we'll have to disagree but hopefully do it in good comradery. We come at issues from our experiences and no doubt mine have been skewed by working where I did. I truly hope the rest of the country is different; but its hard for me to accept that
