Immeadately buy AR's ! If you have any hankering for the AK platform , one of those also , once you have AR 's for the whole family .

Of course getting an optic is only the first part. You need a weapon light/laser rail as well.
A .460 S&W Magnum revolver can fire four cartridges:
  1. .460 S&W Magnum — the full-power hammer
  2. .454 Casull — the heavy hitter just below it
  3. .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt) — the classic cowboy round
  4. .45 Schofield — the old black-powder-era cartridge
Crank off a round from this, you probably won't even have to hit them. The blast wave should knock them over.

Many years ago I had a Ruger Alaskan in .454, brother and I went to the range, I did shoot it before we went out and knew about the recoil. So, without him knowing it, I loaded up a couple.45colt then I dropped in a full house 454. He tensed up and shot the gun and said, this isn’t bad at all, he then cracked off another 45colt round, then he fired it again and …..BANG!!!! He found the full house 454, after he regained his composure, he preceded to cuss me out, I thought it was hilarious, and couldn’t stop laughing from the expression on his face….priceless…..

I did that to a buddy with my 44mag rifle. First few were specials then WHAM his face was priceless
 
It took me a while to get it all figured out and learn how to strategize. I've since made thousands of dollars of purchases off of Gun Broker. One time I kept losing on a specific model of S&W AR so I bid on 3 of them simultaneously in hopes of winning one. Well, I accidentally won all 3! Grrrr....... :mad: I've since developed a very good method of winning what I want $100s less than if I purchased locally. Patience is the key.

Sounds about right. My last purchase was the XDm-40 thinking I’d be outbid because I was low balling it (had 7 bids that I already lost after my time out) but won it.
