I love doing them so much that I hang out at my local ffl to fill them out for other people!Am I the only one that still likes doing a background check (4473) by paper? I did mine today and had to scratch my head on how to do it again.

Of course you do.I always check the non binary choice
Most all the dealers around here do it all on computer now. They just hand you a laptop and say "fill this out."![]()
Actually, even though you fill out the 4473 form online, your shop still prints out a hard copy for there records…..my one shop uses iPads for there’s.
The beauty of the computer version is that the information is litigable. Think thats not important? Try telling the AFT you cant read the info when the do a trace or the agent doing an inspection says he cant read it...
ALSO a dealer in Maryland got seriously jammed up a few years ago when the agents gigged him with violations because buyers put BA instead of BALTO in the county block. The computer wont let you screw that up
It also notes if you bought multiple handguns in a 7 day period, so the dealer can submit the additional form

Yep I get what you’re saying. We hear that a lot but it also comes from the guys who grumble about being asked for their social security number and not wanting anyone to have their info. Sometimes you just can’t win.Ipads at our LGS. I think after a few dozen, it should be saved for answers and you just sign. No more answering again crap over and over
Why the hate? What don’t you like?Yeah, most places here use electronic devices. I hate them.
I'd prefer paper
