Ronin 10mm is TRASH!

I seem to be late to this party, but my 10mm Ronin, purchased new, after the break-in period of 3-400 rounds is now hiccup-free. Haven't fired it for a few years, but it ran both light (Magtech & S&B) loads as well as heavy loads from a variety of manufacturers...it now eats anything I feed it. I've since fallen for my P226 X-5 Legion and have a hard time grabbing anything else when headed to the range...
 
My Ronin is a 45 caliber, not 10mm. I don't see that the problems you mention would not be troublesome if you had bought a 45 and it had the same issues so I feel justified in saying that my Ronin is fine. No issues, scratches, problems, nothing that shouldn't be there. I'm sorry you have issues, I know how it is to get a new gun home and immediately start finding issues with it, but my Springfield is absolutely 100%.

Not directed at you but using your post as an example.
YouTube videos and gun reviews have turned us into a nation of nit pickers. Much like Go-fund-me has turned us a nation of beggars.

thier rentals ain't pristine.......

so at least one knows, its been used and broken in.

some dirt, grime on a NIB gun is rather normal in many situations..

even both my Dan Wesson 1911's had some dirt, grime on them.....

There is no local range so I buy what has worked for me in the past and go on Forums like this for opinions. I've only been burnt once in the last twenty years on a Taurus TH45. Before you go "Oh my God, a Taurus!" I bought a PT 92 and 99 in the late 80's and they are still shooting fine. The TX22 is top's. Anyway, three TH45's later i sold it to a gunsmith for half what I paid for it. Now it's CZ for the most part but that S&W M&P .45 Compact is a fine carry gun. As for the OP, he may be an alright guy but when the first post is bitching about a gun I'm suspicious. I do like to check, but to be totally honest I'm really a VERY lucky impulse buyer. Not all the time of course.

Has anyone seen how Rock Island ships out their 1911’s? Want to talk about dipping into a barrel of oil before shipping it. I have 2 of those (10MM and 45). Both needing a clean up before shooting it.

Years ago when my PD received large numbers of new S&W pistols packed with oil and preservative we field stripped and removed grips and dropped tgem into a parts washer with mineral spirits, then blew everything out with air compressor. This takes out all the oil and leaves all metal parts dry so you have to re-lube. Remoil spray applied lightly to the internals, then gun grease on the rails. I still use a similar procedure when cleaning using Gunscrubber following brushing with Hoppes instead of the mineral spirits bath.
