What are you doing right now??

Hi,

Trash day tomorrow so gathered all of it up and it's in the dumpster. I did cut a couple of high spots in the yard but most of it is dead. Now watching the local news and will relax for the evening. Didn't go to the range as it was just too hot. Have a good night everyone.

Ack! I missed trash day last week. It goes out Thursday night. I'm trying not to be trashy this week so I'll have room for everything. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Sitting on the porch with my Turkey

We just got home from a family wedding weekend in northern Minnesota. ‘‘Twas a bit of a spendy weekend but it was worth it. There’s a certain sporting goods store in the little town where we stayed which was having a huge sidewalk sale (ammo, camo gear, etc.) and in the store they had lots of guns on sale 😊😎.
Well, we kind of caved this afternoon and adopted a couple of strays, which I will post about later😉.
Right now we’re just chilling under the deck with a couple of barley pops and debating what to make for dinner.

Wish we knew you were going to a gun shop, we could have tuned up the enabler chorus for you!

Starting the week with a cup of coffee and breakfast. The husky was waiting for me and most importantly her breakfast. She is now taking a nap again. Will be in high 90's with no rain. Hopefully this week business will pick up. Hope everyone has a great day and just think by the end of the week we will be halfway thru the month!

Trying to get some sleep. Driving test today for my 17yo. Dealing with drivers ed in a town with no de in school, after school or when there's no school for the last14-15 years doesn't leave many options. Traveling 60-100 miles for weeks is downright STUPID! So........it comes down to parent taught which takes 10 hours of online class then 30 hours of driving. It took 10 months to get it finished that could've taken as little as 2 months if I had the time or he didn't have so much homework and/or athletics. It took another 2 months just for the idiots at the online course to certify his driving log.

sometimes its best to do things this way, than RIGHT NOW......

it cools thier jets, so to speak.

annoying...???

sure

but the slow approach may have been the better way.

got up at 5 this morning, had breakfast, but still sipping on iced coffee..

gotta go for another steroid shot for the knee, and a discussion about seeing a surgeon in the future.

i am somewhat apprehensive now, that from all i have been "seeing" and reading, that a knee replacement can take at the very least 1 year to recover from.....

jeez..........at my age, that's a lifetime.

That is BS! I have had six of them and recovery, if you do your PT, is about 3-4 months. Yeah, you will be hurting but you will be walking,,,

dealing with 2 going back to college........................making sure how much tuition is so knowing how much to pay in full along with parking fees. apartments are already paid for this month. college payments due by the 13th. finally getting the certificate for the teeager to get his license on monday. 2 towns over for the test on monday afternoon. going to amarillo tomorrow for some school shopping and pet supplies before daughter takes her cat affectionately know as "bb gun & the b-ber". shot records will be going with her for proof.

You gonna stop and eat ai the Big Texan, or whatever it is called? One that has a huge steak, free if you can eat it. Stopped there in 1968, entourages from Quantico to Phoenix (HOR).

got back from the doctors office....gave me another steroid shot.....

he is going to send a referral to the surgeon downstairs from him, and i will be contacted in due time.

this shot, my 3rd so far, was the absolute easiest yet..

i felt the pinch, i could see the needle on the monitor, and asked him how much deeper he will drive that thing..

so i could expect the pains like the first 2 times.

he said he was done.....!!!!

i said "no way, go back in, there was no pain, and i can't cry like a little girl again".

he and his assistant, did laugh.

he did go on to say the gel shot, and this steroid can be done at the same time, but the surgeons like to give that gel shot, towards the end of the steroid life.

so, in about a wee bit before 3 months from now.....

i just gotta wait for that call, to set up an appointment.

i would be surmising, if he says i do need a new knee, i hope to get that done in early spring...??

I know that when I was getting shots in my knees before my total knee replacement surgeries, I had to wait at least 90 days after getting a shot in my knee before the surgeon could operate on that knee. So don't get any more shots in the knee that you need the surgery on.
