Taking my daughter hunting

I'm bringing a lever action. .357mag. For my daughter its going to be either a 5.56 or 7.62x39. Both are AR platforms. It will be interesting to see which way she leans.

This is for whitetail.

Either the 357 or 7.62x30 geta my vote. I would lean towards the 7.62 suppressed.

I wish y’all luck and hope she kills the biggest buck in the state. When my son was 4 he told me one Saturday he want to go bear hunting. I ask him which gun he was going to use he said mine Daddy. Which was a Chipmunk. We when bear hunting for about 2 hours. No bear but him being 4 he had the time of his life slipping through the woods looking for a bear.

Gita young lady at church, who gagged a mulie last year. Announced by her proud father, with a 7/08. Thinking about giving her a rifle for bigger game. None of my kids have any interest in hunting, so why not. We need to be promoting hunting and outdoor skills.

If only...

I’m so very sorry for you losing your sons. I lost my first grandson and sat there and cried like a baby while holding him. Hope time has helped heal the hole left in your heart. That was over 20 years ago for me and I still have his toys I placed on his grave. I still get them out from time to time and the tears start again.

Time marches on. People seem to think that the father doesn't feel the same pain as the mother. Nothing could be further from the truth. As my wife was being transported to the hospital, we heard the paramedics radio in the report that the twins were "not viable". I knew they were premature, but it was still a crushing blow. These events age men prematurely.
