Shooting: Walther PDP steel frame pro compact (New to me. Picked up last week. One range trip OEM. 2nd range trip today and first with upgrades/changes below)
Upgrades - ZRT captured recoil assembly (D); XS suppressor height sights; Lok thin Veloce grips; Holosun 507C ACSS Vulcan in green.
Purpose: Dot zero and firearm familiarization.
Thoughts:
This is a fantastic firearm. Probably the closest thing to a 2011 in a metal framed striker fired hangun I have shot. Trigger is fantastic. It does have some heft. The Lok thin grips fit my medium sized hands perfectly. Just a quality firearm. Fit and finish are fantastic. Only criticism is for the cost of admission, Walther should sell this thing with better iron sights. If the assumption is the owner will put a dot on it anyway, then it should come with some quality sights with the height to be used thru a dot window.
(targets below with comments)
Head shots - 147gr FMJ from 21ft. #8 - 124gr FMJ from 30ft. Center mass - 124gr FMJ from 21ft. -
Last 2 magazines - 124gr FMJ from 30ft -
(my 62 yr old astigmatized eyes aren't what they used to be.)
