They sent mine in less than two weeks.

Got the Springer rod, which allows me to use the XDM Wolff springs. Can definitely tell a difference racking it with the 22 lbs spring. Haven't fired it yet. Still have to take the dremel to the ends of the springs.

Not a magic number, I just needed to pick something. I could have picked any number from 15 to 19 or so. To me you want as many rounds as you can get, without any negative side effects. I don't see any reason to go smaller than a G17, so no reason to hold fewer rounds either. Unless you prefer...

I have to disagree with you all. To me, there's no reason a nightstand gun wouldn't hold at least 17 rounds.

We car camp and day hike. We both carried spray out west. I have a small chest pack that screams gun to people like us but not to Karen, or a drop leg if going open. It's a little odd carrying while wearing a backpack.

The angle doesn't bother me at all, it's the size and shape. Gen4 with no backstrap is significantly better to me than the Gen3. I've never held a Gen5.

I started out with Glock because of reliability and durability. I was willing to deal with the sub par grip. Then they stopped making the "frying pan finish" and went from having no competition at all to average on finish.

You've never seen a Glock mag? They are metal lined, polymer clad, not all polymer.

I don't mind the polymer clad mags too much in 9mm or .40, but on a 10mm or .45 they cause the grip to be too big. I don't know why the polymer clad mags are cheaper, but they sure are.

I decided on an XDM 10mm after they stopped making them, but maybe six months before they were listed as discontinued on Springfields website. I ruled Glock out because the size and shape of the grip. When the M&P 10mm was announced, I expected to end up with one. The G20 is like holding a 2x4...
