Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft: Black Hawk Killer?

It seems to me a design along the lines of a Harrier might be better.

Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across the United States: 2024

Thanks for the graphic and info, Talyn. If accurate, it is interesting that some of the “blue states” are really blue! A little hard to believe and understand.

Is a .22LR round plausible for self defense?

I find it interesting that this topic seems to pop up on a regular basis. We all know the “right” answer, but for some people (not many of us here) a 0.22 is about all they can afford, both the gun and ammo. Better than nothing, for sure!

Carrying Concealed: Are Old Fanny Packs The New Trend?

I have carried a Fanny pack since back in the 1970’s when big game hunting but have never carried a gun in it. To me, the most convenient and comfortable carry is a snubby in my right front pocket (in an appropriate holster, of course).

Bangers and mash. :). Strange name but delicious. Hard to mess that up!

Seven Great Semiauto Pistols Under $700 Dollars

Thanks for the link, Anni. Interesting article. Probably (at least it seems to me) most of us here have the financial resources to allow us to consider under $700 an affordable pistol. But I suspect that a lot of people who need a gun for self/home protection much more than most of us would...

Range Report: Another Fantastically Mediocre Practice, 4/30/25

I don’t think your shooting is bad, especially considering the circumstances. Go Cliff!

Hunting with an 18.5" Barrel Shotgun?

If I were in your shoes, I would use the shotgun you have until you see how you like turkey hunting.

    Interesting Conversation I Had....Your Thoughts?

You did the right thing. If the guy you met had wanted your advice, he would have asked for it. All of us don’t have to be Annie Oakley or Wild Bill Hickock. :)

    Unexpected Owl

I like the hoot n holler of the Barred Owl. I was out last week and heard one. Brings back good memories.

    Unexpected Owl

Thank you for doing this. It seems sometimes injured wild animals and birds have an innate sense of where to go when they need help. So much for gun owners just wanting to kill! God bless you.

    Pistol Practice with a Purpose

Thanks for the link, Mike. Including your wife or significant other in any plan makes really good sense to me. We have competent women on the site here that I would be pleased to have on my fighting team! As far as targets, I usually use a bullseye target or one I downloaded from a YouTuber...

    what a marooony

I’m am also for whomever I think will do the best job for our country. I also don’t put much stock in what politicians or anybody else says, but instead on their actions. Actions expose the true individual. Maybe all of us here should start looking for a conservative woman for you! :)

Why Choose the XD Mod.3 for Home Defense?

Thanks for the link,Mike. Despite some of the back and forth here, my opinion (and like at least one other thing, everybody has one!) is that SA has an outstanding product line with the XD’s. That they can sell the XD Mod 3 at the price point listed in the article and still be profitable is a...
