That is how I got my RO. If memory serves me right It was around $850 including shipping. Of course then I had to pay the FFL fee, just never ends.

Hollywood, the 1911 & Its Stunt Double

I love my Springfield Range Officer 45 ACP. It shoots amazing. All the above articles have been great reads and have given me a lot of great material to research. Thank you for all the work put into them. Both my springfield 1911's get used frequently. My two oldest grandsons like shooting them...

I got mine off of gunbroker, because I couldn't ever find one in the store locally.

My Philosophy on the 10mm Ronin

I have a Ronin in 9mm and a Range Officer in 45acp. I really like shooting both of these pistols. I carry mine in a shoulder rig. It bothers my back to much to carry that weapon on my hip. Both of my older grand kids have shot these pistols and have actually done better hitting the target with...

Gotta ask, any squirrel hunters here

Tox - I just purchased a small 22lr revolver for that very purpose. If I don't get the big meat I may bring home some multiple smaller portions, to bad my wife doesn't enjoy it. I ask her sister over when I fix it because she likes it.

Gotta ask, any squirrel hunters here

I enjoy squirrel more than rabbit even though it is a little bit smaller animal. It doesn't matter how it's prepared, but my favorite is a stew in which just before served you add fresh peach slices, to die for.

When You Are Your Own First Responder — Setting Up a Rural Home Defense Rifle

Mike, I just purchase my first AR platform rifle, The Springfield Saint 5.56 Nato. I haven't fired it yet, but I can still break them down and put them back together. Takes me a little longer then the required 3 minutes.

When You Are Your Own First Responder — Setting Up a Rural Home Defense Rifle

That is just on the verge of totally idiotic. Get rid of it or move. I'd be outa there so fast their heads would spin.

In Memory: Larry Ruth, Renowned M1 Carbine Historian

Mike My Dad and I did some maintenance and electrical work for a lady when I was a young lad. He traded the work for an M-1 carbine and ammo that her late husband had brought home from WW2. It is all matching numbers and has the flip sight. Too bad I did not realize the value of the ammo. I shot...

History of U.S. Military Handgun Rounds

We were initially given 38's when I was an aircrew member on huey's. They had us go to the range to qualify and you couldn't hit anything further than five feet. Most of us turned them in and "found" something better. I still love my 1911 45 acp. gets the job done.

    Ayoob and the Ronin

I have the Ronin in 9mm and the Range Officer in 45 acp. I would not trade or sell them for anything. Both are smooth and spot on when shooting. My grandsons like shooting them both also.

The M1 Garand & the Cold War

Thank you for all the information and history about the M-1 and how long it has served. It was the one weapon I always wanted when I was younger, but could never afford the extra money. Well this year I was able to get my first one. It is so awesome to shoot. My goal is to get two more so that...
