First Look: Polished Blued SA-35 9mm

One of my posse buddies has decided to trade his matte SA35 for a shiny one. He likes the bling

What are you doing right now??

I have butterflyed chicken breasts that have been marinating for 24 hours. Going out to start the fire in the Big Green Egg shortly. We do chicken right.

10mm vs. .40: Was the FBI Wrong (or Right) About This?

I can tell you, when training novices who are recoil sensitive, it takes a good long while and a lot of effort to train that flinch out of them. Calibers with lesser recoil minimize the problem. Many novices in LEO academies have never fired a gun. You have to start there

    Shotgun Duckbill

Great attachment in the jungle for breaking an ambush. Turns the round shot pattern into a horizontal scythe. I hear it works pretty well on wildfowl that are rafting on a pond

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

I like #4 buck in Federal Flite Control rounds. Patterning holds together nicely out to 50 yards, although I think #4 does best out to 25 yards.

    What are you watching?

Mrs Greener and I are binge re-watching Outlander. Great storytelling, but we missed a lot the first time we watched the series. Our favorite currently is THE PITT. Very realistic ER portrayal. Noah Wyle carries the show, he's a great actor.. All this in anticipation of new rounds of Taylor...

Are You Part of the EDC 1%?

Fundamentally, there is no substitute for basic marksmanship. Everything else is built around that. All the tactical machinations are meaningless if you can't hit the target

Coffee on board, dogs fed. 23° this morning. Granddaughter school transport day. I need to break ice in horse waterer this morning.

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

Never saw a need for a red dot on a shotgun. A low power scope for hunting with slugs maybe but I only hunt birds with shotgun, with an O/U Browning. I did put ghost ring sights on my 870 and did fine on a man silhouette target at 50 and 100 yds with slugs. And a weapon light was a must for me.

    5 boxes of S&B 45acp ball

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

This is right next to my recliner. For those occasions when there are home invasions while Mrs Greener and I are watching Yellowstone. Or if something goes bump in the night.
