    Dealing with Civil Unrest

Before you worry too much, read Chris Bray's article about LA. Most of this is performative - by the participants and the media alike. Read until the very last sentence to get a complete understanding of what's at play. https://chrisbray.substack.com/p/this-is-ww3-chris-bray-visits-a-riot

Just backed out of a sale

I had one of these "paid you too much, send me a money order for the difference" scammers go so far as to send me an FFL to ship the gun they supposedly wanted to buy to. Real FFL, which wasn't the point but tried to make it look more legit. They sent me a clearly fake cashier's check, so I...

Wow the Avidity Arms PD10 actual exists

My .30SC has run flawlessly. We'll see about the 9mm, and I only need enough mags for the range and/or one if I ever decided to carry it for any reason. Their website is a mess - I functionally consider them out of business.

Wow the Avidity Arms PD10 actual exists

Every striker fired black polymer pistol looks like a Glock. I picked up a second one today, so I've got the .30SC and 9mm variants. The 9mm, NIB, was $275 from an FFL tired of it sitting on their shelf. They're REALLY thin. Great for behind-the-hip IWB carry. Most 1911 9mm mags work, too.

    Thinness. Built around 1911 mags.

Yes, this thread about wildlife didn't have the mandatory political comment. Thank you for the valuable contribution of adding it. We're all better not appreciating nature and always thinking about politicians.

    Shot a SIG P226 X-5 Legion Yesterday

I'm having one custom made - Lone Star Holsters. I'm using the AC extended TDL. If it's Kydex, it's a simple matter of heat and slight re-molding (push the gun in and out several times). If it's leather, that's a different story.

    Review: Sig P211 by PewView

I've seen lots of dropped guns at competitions. There's a reason it's a DQ to do so. I've earned that once - didn't fully lock my gun into my race holster between make ready and start and the loaded gun fell out when I leaned into my start position. Got to go home early that day. I've also...

    Got my range bags.

It's good to know that SurePost is an option for FedEx, not a hard requirement. It allows them to use USPS for last mile delivery where it makes sense. Sounds like it was easier to add you to a truck's route than to route something else to USPS (and pay for that last mile delivery).

They're two different services. Why would you expect this?

Echelon with tab/lever on end of COG

For everyone wondering, several descriptions of the process for a manual safety are on the internet. Here's one (that goes on to detail the safety delete, but coverers removal and reinstallation with the manual safety intact): (Step 1 / Pics 1 & 2 here) describe the "more upward" position of...

Echelon with tab/lever on end of COG

You're snapping one part into another. I'm not denying it might have an extra step or two, or take a different direction, I'm saying figuring out how it's done cannot possibly be this hard, especially if you removed it yourself and the COG is made specifically to be interchangeable in frames...
