Newbie to suppressors with basic questions

    1) Are suppressors caliber specific or range of caliber specific? I.e. .308 caliber or will it a range of calibers that are similar in size? As long as the diameter of the hole in the suppressor is larger than the diameter of the bullet, they are generally appropriate for that cartridge. Always...

How many buy this about the Sig P320?

I wouldn’t get a P320 at this point with all the hubbub about it. But other Sig models have different designs are are safe IMO. My daily carry is a P365XL and it’s been exceptional. I also have a P938 Legion for when I need something a little smaller and a P322 which is a blast to shoot suppressed.

    Help w/Suppressors

You’re on your way! Shooting suppressed is a blast. Let us know how it goes. Order some of this as well. It’s the quietest I’ve found so far. I just ordered 5 boxes of the 147 gr, although it looks like it’s out of stock again now. I’ve heard the 165 is even quieter, although I haven’t tried it...

    Help w/Suppressors

I'm sure there will be some back and forth on this as there was in an earlier thread, but you don't have to clean it. I've asked the OCL guys and they confirmed. It's a sealed can, so I guess if you wanted to clean it, you'd have to plug the muzzle end and pour a solvent into it. It's all...

Here’s my Kuna with the OCL Lithium and a Holosun ARO-EVO red dot.

    Help w/Suppressors

I'll add this. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the modular cans. I've bought a couple thinking it would be nice to use short configuration in some circumstances and the long in others. Turns out, I really don't use short at all. No point really if you want the most suppression. And as simple as...

    Help w/Suppressors

It was on there pretty good, but I was able to get it off. I don't have a bench vise for firearms, but I basically held the gun between my legs and used a monkey wrench - I believe - to twist it off. It took a lot of force, but it was doable...

    Help w/Suppressors

I have a Kuna suppressed and I really like it. I have the Otter Creek Labs Lithium 9 on mine and am very happy with it. It is quiet, pretty short and light, so it adds nothing to the firearm. It comes with a direct thread mount, so you can just screw it onto the threads of the Kuna. It is also...

Anyone else get an Echelon 4.0c yet... Q?

    Mine’s the same. No issues.

    Optics.

I have the EPS carry on my P365XL and the Sig Romeo X Pro enclosed on my Echelon. I like the enclosed RDS. Definitely makes it easier to clean.

    Echelon 4.0C - Should I?

Just installed a Tyrant CNC trigger on my Echelon. Very nice upgrade. Not that the Echelon stock trigger was bad, but I did get a little bit of a pinch from the trigger dingy. This Tyrant trigger eliminates nearly all the take up and has a much more positive return. Very nice. Below is a decent...

    Echelon Optic Install

Thanks BassCliff. You are right, the process is pretty straight forward. I put a Sig Romeo X Enclosed Pro on mine. That optic is supposed to be the Delta Pro footprint, but I wound up using the Shield pin set. After reading up on it, that’s what SA suggested to someone and it worked for me. One...

Echelon with tab/lever on end of COG

There are plenty of videos and instructions out there for the COG removal and installation. However, there are none for a COG with the manual safety. I don’t know if installation is different with the manual safety, but this is the 2nd person I’ve seen who has had trouble with installation of...

Echelon with tab/lever on end of COG

It’s a manual thumb safety. I haven’t been able to find any videos that show the COG manual safety removal and installation either.

    Echelon 4.0C - Should I?

I’ll be ordering a FDE frame for mine at some point soon. I’ll post when I receive and set it up. SA sells them pretty cheap in black, FDE and OD Green.

Red dot battery, cut off needed?

It may not have “shake awake” technology. The Trijicon RMR is arguably the pinnacle red dot sight and it does not have that technology. The battery will still last several years, even when it stays on all the time. Idk about this RDS, but auto off isn’t necessarily a given.
