Red dot battery, cut off needed?

I have aquired an older red dot sight and cleaned it up,put in a battery and it fired up nicely. My question is I can't find the manufacturer to get an instruction manuel. Most will cut off after a few minutes of sitting still and this one seems to stay on. I was hoping it had an auto cut off to save the battery. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If there is a physical button then you could try holding it for 30 seconds to see if it will shutdown.

Welcome to the forum! :)

Are there any other identifying marks on that unit? Doing a web search for "target sports red dot" doesn't turn up any useful results.

As Mr. @Pitdogg2 mentioned, many dots take hours to shut down once they are motionless and may not have "shake awake" technology.

Are there any other numbers or logos on the body? I have a feeling that's a re-branded unit from some other manufacturer.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Thanks
I was hoping someone could identify it. I did an AI search with no results.

I will try the 18 hours to see if it shuts down.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum from South Texas.

Hi,

Yes it is very cheap. I aquired it in a box of free goods. I was hoping g I could get it to work and put it on an inexpensive target pistol. My main one is Delta by Leopold.

Just a thought...Following up on a clue by @Grayfox, I looked around CDNN's website. This Aim Sports red dot looks similar. The ad says it has only an on/off switch. I don't know if this is your dot, but given the age and the price range, maybe it's similar.
